Effects of holistic nursing on the perioperative care of patients undergoing single-port video-assisted thoracoscopic lobectomy for lung cancer
To analyze the effect of holistic nursing during the perioperative period of single-port thoracoscopic lobectomy for lung cancer. The clinical data of 80 patients who underwent single-port thoracoscopic lobectomy for lung cancer in the Armed Police Coast Guard Corps Hospital from January 2020 to December 2022 were retrospectively analyzed. According to the different perioperative nursing modes, the patients were divided into a control group and an observation group, with 40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional surgical nursing mode, and the observation group was treated with holistic nursing mode. The baseline data, perioperative indicators, negative emotions and nursing satisfaction of the two groups were compared. The operation time [(95.60±33.60) min], awakening time [(14.22±3.42) min], force recovery time [(7.07±2.29) min], first flatus time [(1.52±0.51) d], and hospital stay [(7.50±1.67) d] of the observation group were significantly shorter than those of the control group ((111.55±30.05) min, (17.15±2.85) min, (8.44±2.51) min, (2.20±0.61) d, and (8.34±1.54) d, respectively) ( t =2.24, 4.16, 2.55, 5.41, 2.34, all P < 0.05). At discharge, the scores of the self-rating depression scale and the self-rating anxiety scale in the observation group [(42.09±5.16) points, (43.28±4.50) points] were lower than those in the control group ((46.31±5.81) points, (49.66±4.82) points) (t =3.43, 6.12, both P < 0.05). The nursing satisfaction rate in the observation group was 92.50% (37/40), and that in the control group was 70.00% (28/40). The nursing satisfaction rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (χ2 = 5.25, P =0.022). The application of holistic nursing model in the perioperative period of single-port thoracoscopic lobectomy for lung cancer can not only reduce the anxiety and depression of patients, but also promote their postoperative recovery and improve their nursing satisfaction, with significant application advantages.
